While we are still waiting for the iPhone 13 to be available in Malaysia, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is already revealing information on the iPhone 14 Pro — it will not have a notch.
According to Kuo, the iPhone 14 Pro models will be the first to ditch the notch, replacing it with a hole-punch cutout that we’ve seen countless times on Android phones.
It’s just the Pro models
However, the iPhone 14 not be getting the same design; it is expected to sport the same, smaller notch that we’re seeing on the current iPhone 13 models.
Apple will also be taking out the iPhone mini from the equation; instead, we’ll be getting an iPhone 14 Max that should be as large as the Pro Max model at 6.7 inches, but slightly cheaper (below $900).
iPhone 14 Pro may finally come with a 48MP camera system?
There’s also a possibility that Apple will go for higher megapixels lenses — we’re expecting a 48MP wide camera that uses pixel-binning, so essentially you’ll still end up with a 12MP photo but with better quality.
As of now, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro are still using 12MP lenses, though the camera systems are greatly improved in terms of software and hardware.
Under-display Touch ID delayed
While Kuo previously predicted that the iPhone 14 may come with an under-display Touch ID, he recently revealed that the development of the under-display Touch ID is not progressing as quickly as expected, so it may not appear next year.
