DJI officially released the Osmo Mobile 4 a day after it was leaked online. The biggest change is its magnetic mounts — a phone clamp and a ring holder.
Osmo Mobile 4 now called the OM 4
Instead of calling it Osmo Mobile 4, DJI is now naming it OM 4. It’s slightly lighter than the Osmo Mobile 3 if we only compare the gimbals, but since it’s necessary for users to attach either one of its magnetic mounts, it is overall heavier than the previous model.
Stronger motor, new and improved features
The OM 4 also has a stronger motor to mount heavier phones and comes with a few features that are either new or upgraded. DJI’s SpinShot is a feature that rotates your phone while you shoot video, and CloneMe Pano is one that pauses between shots for you to ‘clone’ yourself in the panorama picture.
Expected release date: September 1, 2020
The DJI OM 4 is now available at $149 and can be purchased on DJI’s official online store. The expected release date in Malaysia is September 1, according to one of DJI’s authorised retail stores. However, you can already preorder it for RM599.
