Oppo’s F5 will take super clear photos and selfies for RM1,298

Oppo has been rather silent after the launch of its R9s smartphone, while most us have been anticipating the R11 to reach our markets, the company has instead introduced the Oppo F5, which is actually a lot more interesting than the former and it is the first Oppo device to come with a 18:9 aspect ratio display. Oppo calls the F5 a ‘Selfie Expert and Leader’, and the highlight features of the phone includes a front facing 20-megapixel f/2.0 camera and a rear 16-megapixel f/1.8 camera, which makes this a great phone for both photography and selfies.

The Oppo F5 features a 6-inch FHD+ display, it is powered by a Mediatek Helio P23 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, users are able expand the phone’s storage up to 256GB with a dedicated MicroSD card slot on the triple slot SIM tray, and it comes with a 3200mAh battery. Oppo has claimed a significant improvement in the phone’s selfie feature with its A.I Beauty Recognition technology, which learns and gathers information of various human facial features, it allows users to beautify their selfies with a more natural skin tone by scanning over 200 facial feature spots.

Also new to the Oppo F5 is the new Color OS 3.2 software based on Android 7.1, it also features Facial Unlock as an alternative to secure your device and a Game Mode for muting incoming notifications when playing games. The Oppo F5 is now available for pre-order starting 2nd November till 10th November 2017 over at all Oppo authorised dealers, Lazada, 11street, Shoppe, Celcom and Senheng, it retails at RM1,298.
