Oppo teases a 10GB RAM phone in an event in China

Oppo is on a roll this year, they released the Fine X which is their full body display phone that comes with a mechanical camera section used for answering calls and taking a picture. It looks like they are not stopping there as recently, they teased a new phone in China that will come with 10GB of RAM.

An image of an Oppo-sponsored event in China was posted on Weibo, where the company was teasing their Oppo R17. However, there is no other information on the phone other than what was announced during the event, other than the tipster stating that the phone will come with 10GB of RAM. That would make the R17 a phone with the most amount of RAM but it seems like it might not hold that crown for very long. When Oppo releases a phone, you know that Vivo is always high on their tail and vice versa. In another rumour, Vivo is producing the Xplay7 which is said to come with a 4K OLED display with a 92.9 percent screen-to-body ratio, 256GB or 512GB of storage and 10GB of RAM.

With apps and games reaching a new height of advancements in graphics and the features it offers, we might actually need 10GB of RAM in our phone, but that’s a future that we might have to wait for a long time. Still, nice to see Vivo and Oppo giving us future-proof devices, as long as the price and specs meet our expectations.
