OPPO Reno3 series launching in Malaysia soon – 90Hz display with 5G support

The OPPO Reno3 series is on its way to Malaysia after making its debut in China in December last year. OPPO did not say exactly when it’ll arrive, but it should be sometime this month.

The OPPO Reno3 series consist of the vanilla version and the Pro version – both models have share the same 6.5-inch OLED display panel that pushes a refresh rate of 90Hz. It boasts a touch sampling rate of 180Hz and is HDR10+ certified so it displays a wider range of colours.

Things start to differ between the two when we talk about cameras – the Reno3 Pro has a 64MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP black and white camera, and a 13MP telephoto lens. The regular OPPO Reno3 replaces 64MP lens with a 48MP one and swaps the black and white lens with a 2MP portrait module instead.

The Reno3 Pro has a very capable Snapdragon 765G chipset with 6G support and ships with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Meanwhile, the Reno3 could come with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000L chipset which also has 5G support.

Both phones sport the same battery 4,025mAh battery capacity with support for 30W of VOOC 4.0 fast charging. Both models will also ship with ColourOS 7 based on Android 10.

OPPO also didn’t disclose the official pricing in their media press kit; but since the Reno3 starts from a retail price of 3,399Yuan (RM2,074), we can expect the Malaysian price to be in that whereabouts as well. Plus, there’s no word if the regular  variant will make its way here, but we’ll keep you updated as more information comes.
