Oppo R9s Plus officially launched at RM2,498

The bigger brother of Oppo’s hot selling R9s has finally gone official, the company has unveiled the R9s Plus today at a press conference. As we have reported back then, the Oppo R9s Plus isn’t a mere bigger variant of the R9s, it offers a significant specs bump from the R9s while retaining the same design language. The Oppo R9s Plus is confirmed to feature a much powerful Snapdragon 653 processor mated to 6GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. With a 6-inch Full HD display, the phone should get the same power efficiency as the R9s despite of its screen size all thanks to a bigger 4000mAh battery, the company’s VOOC Quick Charge is also present on the device.

Probably the most exciting feature of the R9s Plus would be its camera, which now comes with an optical stabilized 16-megapixel camera with a f/1.7 aperture and a 1/2.3″ sensor size, that means pictures taken with this device will be even clearer and have better videography capabilities as opposed to the R9s. In terms of aesthetics, Oppo has done the same bezel slimming job like the R9s, which makes reaching most parts of the screen estate easier with a great screen to body ratio.

The Oppo R9s Plus will be available starting today with a retail price of RM2,498, which is also what we have reported earlier and it is cheaper than other markets, on top of that Oppo is also giving a 1-year screen crack warranty with O-Care Warranty, the phone can now be purchased via Oppo’s authorised retail stores and its online retail partners such as Lazada and 11street.
