OPPO “pre-announces” R11s amid rising popularity of OnePlus 5T

While rumors have shot through the roof for the upcoming OnePlus 5T, we are not forgetting about OPPO’s yet to be released full screen smartphone just yet. Both OPPO and OnePlus have been borrowing each other’s design elements for their smartphones. Since the OnePlus 5 looks identical to the OPPO R11, it is safe to assume that the OnePlus 5T will look like the OPPO R11s.

Regardless, OPPO does want to be in the limelight for its OPPO R11s, hence it has pre-announced the smartphone before its actual launch on the 2nd of November. With the “pre-announcement”, OPPO has showcased the R11s in its full glory on its Chinese website.

Images of the OPPO R11s boast the phone’s front full screen display, something which will also exist with the OnePlus 5T as well. The OPPO R11s’ display will be of 18:9 aspect ratio in Full HD+ resolution, going with the near bezel-less front like most flagships of 2017. There will be 4GB of RAM, with OPPO possibly retaining the same Snapdragon 660 processor. The dual rear camera setup of 20MP + 16MP and the 20MP AI equipped selfie camera are pretty likely too.

The OPPO R11s will officially be available in Champagne Gold, Black and Red color options. Pricing has yet to be revealed but we should know when it launches on November 2.
