OPPO launches A77 5G with 5000mAh battery and stereo speakers at RM1,199

OPPO has introduced the A77 5G mid-range smartphone, it is a RM1,200 that comes with attractive features such as an eye-turning OPPO Glow Design and 7.99mm thin body, a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W SuperVOOC flash charging, and ultra-linear stereo speakers for the first time on an A series phone.

Powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 810 SoC and supported by 6GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage, it has a 6.56-inch IPS display that pushes HD+ resolution and refreshes at 90Hz, which might be a little underwhelming on paper, but OPPO claims that the display can reach 600 nits of brightness and has a responsive 180Hz touch reporting rate, it also covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, and with that kind of screen size, one might not notice the low resolution display unless viewed closely.

The A77 5G has a pretty modest dual camera system that comprise of a 48MP f/1.7 primary and 2MP depth sensor, while selfies are taken care by a modest 8MP front shooter, the cameras will also come with OPPO’s usual AI scene enhancement and portrait retouching features.

In terms of software, the A77 5G ships with ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12, which is a good selling point considering most mid-range phones of the same price range still ships with Android 11.

To celebrate the arrival of the phone, the OPPO A77 5G is going off at a special price of RM999 when you make your purchase from June 6-8 at OPPO’s Lazada Store, so head over here to make your purchase if you want an affordable 5G phone from OPPO.
