OPPO F5 with full screen display and intelligent selfie cam in tow

OPPO’s emphasis of selfie quality has been apparent for quite some time now. Why compete with the elite when you can conquer an aspect of a smartphone? That’s what the company did that makes it the 4th largest smartphone maker in the world. OPPO is planning to up the ante with an upcoming full screen display handset, plus an AI selfie technology to assist with the front facing camera.

The OPPO F5 has finally been teased by the Chinese manufacturer after a bunch of speculations about it making a full screen display smartphone. Like shown above, the teaser image does not tell us much about what to expect. What we can confirm is that the phone will sport a near bezel-less display on the front, likely to be of Full HD+ resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The phone will also use AI to analyze selfies, down to specific details such as a person’s skin tone, gender, age and environmental lighting conditions. This will definitely enhance the typical high megapixel count selfie cameras that OPPO currently possesses on its smartphones.

The OPPO F5 will be hitting India and South East Asian markets which includes Malaysia pretty soon. The phone will likely feature a mid range Snapdragon processor like the SD660, along with some respectable specs across the board.
