OPPO A53 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720

The OPPO A53 5G is the successor to the one that was launched in Malaysia awhile back, but OPPO didn’t just add 5G connectivity in the phone.

OPPO A53 5G will differ more than you think

Although the 5G model will also come with a 6.5-inch FHD+ display, the fingerprint scanner has now relocated to the side and doubles as the power button. Apart from that, the 13MP main shooter is also upgraded to a 16MP lens but surprisingly, reports say that the front 16MP lens will be switched out for an 8MP selfie camera instead.

OPPO swapped the Snapdragon 460 chip for the MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor

The OPPO A53 5G is also expected to house a smaller 4,000mAh battery with only 10W charging. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 chip and should come with up to 6GB of RAM paired with 128GB of storage.

GSMArena reported that the OPPO A53 5G might not be launched outside China and even if it is launching, it will be named differently. The specs may even change depending on the region.
