OPPO A16K launched in Malaysia: Cheaper than the A16 by RM100

Earlier in July, OPPO announced the A16, and now they have expanded their A series with the launching of the OPPO A16K in Malaysia – this smartphone is very similar to the A16, but lacks some of its features, all for a cheaper price.

The OPPO A16K sports a thin and light form factor, that comes in two colors – black and blue. It measures just 7.85mm thin and weighs 175 grams. Additionally, the back panel includes a 3D cover that feels smooth and is comfortable to hold.

This smartphone has a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It also features OPPO’s All-day Eye Care to help protect your eyes.

The hardware also got some changes and now has a MediaTek Helio G35 chip, supported by the System Booster software to give you a better overall performance. This all comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

The battery of the OPPO A16K uses a 4,230mAh pack that charges with a 10W brick via Micro-USB. OPPO claims to have enhancements in the battery life department with features like Super Nighttime Standby, Optimized Night Charging, and Super Power Saving Mode available to give users a better charging experience.

The back of the smartphone is equipped with a 13MP main camera, while on the front you get a 5MP front camera that supports OPPO’s imaging software, such as the night filters, backlit HDR, and AI beautification.

You can purchase the OPPO A16K for RM549 and it’s now available on their official online store, or alternatively via their Shopee and Lazada pages.
