OnePlus wants you to shop in VR

Last year, the OnePlus 2 was the first smartphone in the world that was launched via VR, which provided quite an immersive experience, not to mention a smooth one without any server crashes along the way. However, it seems like VR launches have gotten an little too stale. The last known VR launch was the Lenovo ZUK Z1 in India. This time round, OnePlus intends to have us shop via VR.

OnePlus is now offering a VR headset known as the Loop VR, courtesy of a collaboration between the Chinese startup and Ant VR. As we speak, OnePlus is giving out a total of 30,000 headsets for free. Yes, that includes shipping as well so you need not worry. According to them, the launch of the OnePlus 3 will be the world’s first global shopping experience in VR. Those who have managed to get the Loop VR will be able to get the next “Flagship Killer” before the rest.

Do note that OnePlus is currently experiencing issues in recognizing IP’s for their website, which isn’t at all surprising in OnePlus fashion. We’re hoping that they patch it up soon. Meanwhile, have you experienced any device launch through VR?
