OnePlus representative spills beans on OnePlus 3 launch date

From legit looking renders to consistent spec leaks, the OnePlus 3 is certainly the device that many are looking forward to right now. You might want to cancel all your June 14 plans for a possible OnePlus 3 launch event, as a OnePlus employee might have just spilled the beans on the event’s date next month.

The conversation is said to happen in OnePlus’ Live Chat, and the June 14 launch date was revealed by a OnePlus customer rep, or more specifically, an agent of the live chat. However, this might turn out to be a joke, or by luck, true so do have some anticipation that this might end either way. OnePlus usually releases their flagship devices after the rest of the bunch, hence the Chinese startup doesn’t have to worry much about competition.

So far, we’ve seen the release of major flagships – the Galaxy S7, LG G5 and HTC 10 this year. Hailing from China are the Xiaomi Mi 5, Meizu Pro 6 and the Huawei P9 series. The HTC-build inspired OnePlus 3 is set to sweep the consumer market when it releases. Nevertheless, let’s remind you about the rumored spec sheet so far. A 5.5-inch 1080 displau, Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB or 6GB of RAM coupled with 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, 16MP and 8MP cameras on the rear and the front respectively, a 3,000mAh battery with OPPO’s Super VOOC fast charging technology, and not forgetting, the return of NFC support.

The launch event will likely be in VR like OnePlus did with the OnePlus 2. The company also claims to provide the world’s first VR shopping experience so stay tuned!
