OnePlus 6 has officially been announced, comes with up to 256GB of storage

The OnePlus 6 has finally been made official and most of the specs that have been leaked were true. It comes with all the features that you would expect from a flagship phone but with comes with an affordable price.

It comes with a 6.28-inch with an AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio design, sadly there is a notch present on the phone, but they mentioned that they did that in order to give more screen space to its user. The camera has been given a decent upgrade as it now comes with a 16MP+20MP sensor and the front camera comes with a 16MP sensor that supports Face Unlock. OnePlus has claimed that it is one of the fastest facial recognition out of any phone. Wheather it is faster than the OnePlus 5T is yet to be known but we expect it would be as fast or even faster. The front camera will be using AI to take portrait selfies and will be added after its launch. The company will also be adding a slow-mo feature that is capped at 480 frames-per-second, slower than most other flagship phones but it should offer a better quality video.

The OnePlus 6 has the largest screen out of the previous phones and they have adopted an all-glass body which is using Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and the back.

Specs wise, it has been confirmed to run on the Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB or 8GB RAM and 64GB or 256GB of internal storage and powering the device is a 3,300mAh battery which supports Dash Charge. It will come with the latest version of Oxygen OS for a smooth stock experience running on top of Android Oreo, following their practice of not adding any bloatware. For some of you that are music lovers, you will be happy to know that the 3.5mm headphone jack is still present on this phone, and OnePlus has no plans to remove it in future phones.

The OnePlus 6 will not only come in a full glass black design, as they are also releasing their signature Midnight Black colour when the phone becomes available on 22 May 2018. The phone will be slightly more expensive than its predecessor as it comes with a starting price of £469 for the 6GB RAM, 64GB storage Mirror Black version and £569 for the Midnight Black variant that has am 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage. It should take a couple of days before the price announcement is made in Malaysia but expect the phone to be slightly more expensive than the OnePlus 5T.
