The OnePlus 5T might just sound about right if OnePlus carries on its trend of releasing two phones in a year. 2015 saw the launch of the OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus X, while last year saw the company release the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T. While the OnePlus 3T might look aesthetically similar to the OnePlus 3, the OnePlus 5T will likely sport a slightly different look compared to the OnePlus 5.
Instead of a 5.5-inch display at Full HD 1080p resolution, the OnePlus 5T is slated to feature a larger 6-inch display at QHD+ resolution. The handset’s form factor will probably still be similar to the OnePlus 5 as its display is predicted to be of 18:9 aspect ratio with minimal bezels.
Speaking of the “bezel-less” display, the OnePlus 5T is tipped to have a flat edged screen, unlike Samsung’s Galaxy flagships. The fingerprint sensor is also seen to be shifted to the rear panel of the device, below the dual camera setup. No news on the cameras so far, but OnePlus might have an upgrade or two up its sleeve.
The OnePlus 5T is expected to be announced sometime in November, if not early next year. Let’s hope it will be worth the upgrade.
