OnePlus 3T to go official on November 15

Qualcomm has recently teased a mysterious OnePlus device on its Twitter feed, claiming the phone to be on its way and that it will feature the company’s latest flagship Snapdragon 821 processor underneath the hood. Days after Qualcomm’s teaser, OnePlus has officially announced that the Snapdragon 821 device will be unveiled next Tuesday on the 15th of November.

A OnePlus 3T has been rumored earlier prior to these announcements by both Qualcomm and OnePlus. It seems like the latter company intends to improve upon the OnePlus 3 that was released earlier this year, though it turned out to be OnePlus’ best phone ever made. Rumors came pouring in, particularly regarding the OnePlus 3T featuring an LCD display instead of an AMOLED panel, which was quickly dismissed by Carl Pei who is the company’s co-founder. Other rumors suggest that the OnePlus 3T will be sporting the same Optic AMOLED display from the OnePlus 3 at 1080p resolution, the same 6GB RAM configuration but with two storage options of 64GB and 128GB this time round. The OnePlus 3T is also tipped to pack a different camera sensor by Sony, retaining the same 16 megapixels.

Evan Blass has also stated that the OnePlus 3T will be priced $80 more than the current OnePlus 3 flagship. With the announcement by OnePlus came a 15 second teaser regarding the Snapdragon 821 chip and the November 15 unveiling date. The handset is set to be launched via a Facebook Live video. What are your thoughts on OnePlus launching another 2016 flagship?
