OnePlus 3/3T owners are getting stable Android Nougat this new year

OnePlus owners are in luck this new year, as CEO Carl Pei has just announced that the company’s flagship OnePlus 3/3T will be receiving the stable version of the Android Nougat update, it will be rolled out to users gradually across the globe however some lucky folks have already received the update, as seen in the OnePlus Lounge Facebook group. The Android Nougat update for the OnePlus 3/3T will weigh about 919MB-1GB for its file size, while it isn’t the latest Android 7.1.1 build, the phones are definitely one of the earliest 2016 devices to get updated to Nougat.

If you have been using the beta Android Nougat software of the OnePlus 3/3T for a while now, the changelog of this update should remain pretty much the same as detailed below:

  • Upgraded to Andorid 7.0 Nougat
  • New Notifications Design
  • New Settings Menu Design
  • Multi-Window View
  • Notification Direct Reply
  • Custom DPI support
  • Added Status Bar Icon Options
  • Added Quick Launch for 3rd Party Applications

If you own either the OnePlus 3/3T, there’s no reason not to update your phone to this as Android Nougat introduces many performance improvements under the hood, hence do keep checking your phone every now and then as the update rolls out gradually. 2017 is definitely a good year to start with for OnePlus 3/3T customers!
