OnePlus 3 will be getting a Nougat beta "community" build this month

Samsung ain’t the only one that will be beta-testing Android Nougat on its devices as it appears that OnePlus is currently working on a Nougat beta “community” build for the OnePlus 3.

OnePlus’ head of shoftware, Brian Yoon, has confirmed to Engadget that this Nougat beta will be ready for the OnePlus 3 this month. Once the team manages to address all the issues that are reported in the Nougat beta, the company would then begin to roll out Android Nougat to all OnePlus 3 devices. No specific date was given as to when that would happen, but Yoon mentions that Nougat will be available across all OnePlus 3s by the end of the year.

Those who are still on OnePlus’ older devices, Yoon has confirmed that devices like the OnePlus 2 will also be receiving the Nougat update. Unfortunately, no timeline was given as to when the update will be made available, so it’s a safe bet to say that it’ll only happen sometime next year.
