OnePlus 3 retail box leaked with images of the device

More leaks usually mean that we’re closer to the launch date of a smartphone, at that seems to be the case for the OnePlus 3, which will most likely be dubbed the “flagship killer” as well. This time, we have a leaked image of the OnePlus 3’s alleged retail box, along with a couple of images of the handset in the wild, which might seem a little alien by OnePlus’ standards.

First off, taking a look at the retail box of the OnePlus 3, which may or may not be the real deal, but we shouldn’t be worrying too much about a smartphone’s packaging. The alleged images of the device itself however, seem to stray too far from the design nature of OnePlus. The front panel looks legit and believable from the looks of it, but the rear of the handset tells a whole different story.

Based on the image, the alleged handset seems to sport a metal build this time, which is odd, based on Sandstone designs of the OnePlus One and the OnePlus 2. In fact, the OnePlus 3 in this image looks eeriely similar to HTC’s flagship devices from the past couple of years. Also, there happens to be no sight of a OnePlus logo on the back as well. So far, we’re only buying the front panel of the OnePlus 3 from this series of images. We’re hoping to see something more believable soon.
