Rumors surrounding OPPO’s new smartphone line has been nothing short of wild for the past few weeks – it began with reports claiming that Reno would be a sub-brand, while on a later it was confirmed that Reno would be a new product line; other reports also suggest that the Reno will be a flagship and will come with Snapdragon 855; and recently leaked renders show the phone’s supposedly stick of gum-shaped pop-up selfie camera.
These reports and rumors have been anything but reliable; but GSM Arena has reported something more concrete. Apparently, official renders have surfaced on Chinese website JD.com along with call-to-action buttons for pre-ordering the phone.
The page also shows that the Reno will be available in four colors – green, purple, rose gold, and black. The specifications tab has been left empty, so we suppose the site had an agreement with OPPO to withhold that information.
With the renders we can see a dual-lens setup – the main lens is likely a 48MP one – but it begs the question if the rumors of the phone being capable of 10x lossless zoom are true. Over on the front, you get a near-bezel-less and notch-less display, which is in line with reports of the phone’s pop-up selfie camera.
In the descriptions panel, we see posters detailing certain specs for the phone such as a 4,800mAh battery, NFC support and VOOC 3.0 fast charging. The page also showed sample images which were supposedly taken with the OPPO Reno.
