Official image of the OnePlus 6 surfaces from company Co-Founder

We finally have an official image of the OnePlus 6 and it looks like our fears have come true. The new flagship from OnePlus will come with a notch just like almost every other phone we have seen this year. This information comes directly from Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus.

Not only has he confirmed the presence of the notch, but he has put to sleep some rumours that the new flagship will look like the Oppo R15, stating it will not and has said that it will come with a screen-to-body ratio of 90%, the biggest out of any of the company’s smartphones. Even if the OnePlus 6 will come with a notch, the company has tested the phone with 1,000 apps on the Play Store to check how the notch will look like with multiple apps, and the notch will be hidden when playing a video, as to not irritate the user.

Other than that, based on leaks by Evan Blass, the phone will come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port and an external speaker grille. On the back, the phone will come with a dual-camera setup in a verticle position and covered with what looks to be a wood-like texture, although it is uncertain if that is how the back of the phone will be or its a skin for the phone.
