Nvidia has officially introduced the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, 2080 and 2070

After two years of wondering and waiting, the biggest graphics card maker has finally introduced the successor to the GTX 10-series, the RTX 11-series. New graphics cards that are powerful and allows you to utilize and enjoy the power of Ray-Tracing (RTX), a  new method of rendering shadows and reflection in games.

They started the presentation by going in-depth about RTX, and while most of it was catered towards computer graphics artist, it gives us a small understanding that this new technology is no joke. From what we understand, this new tech will change the way lighting, shadows, and reflection is done in games. They are also using AI in their new Turing architecture, to accurately generate missing pixels to increase the speed of rendering graphics.

They went on to show games that are using this new RTX technology mainly, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Metro Exodus, and Battlefield V which we really recommend you watch the videos of the game with and without RTX.

Finally, they went on to announce three cards, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition comes with a 4352 CUDA Cores, a base clock speed of 1350 MHz, boost clock of 1635 MHz and 11GB of GDDR6 memory. The reference card comes with all the same specs except for the boost clock which is lower at 1545 MHz. Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Founders Edition will come with 2944 CUDA Cores, a base clock speed of 1515 MHz, boost clock speeds of 1800 MHz and 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The reference graphics card for the RTX 2080 comes with a boost clock of 1710 MHz. Lastly, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Founders Edition will come with 2304 CUDA Cores, a base clock speeds of 1410 Mhz, boost clock speeds of 1710 and 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The reference design comes with a boost clock speed of 1620 MHz.

Nvidia recommends a 650-watt power supply for the RTX 2080 cards and 550 watts for the RTX 2070, the cards are open for preorder on their website and will start shipping on 20 September. The RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 and the RTX 2070 will cost up to $999, $699 and $599 respectively. However, we recommend that you dont preorder the cards for now as the pricing on the website and the presentation are not the same.
