The Nubia Z17 Mini is a stripped down Z17

The Nubia Z17 was just unveiled last week, what might be the most powerful smartphone to date. The Z17 sports Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor and up to a staggering 8GB of RAM underneath the hood. Nubia has since launched a mini variant of its flagship device. The company has just unveiled the Nubia Z17 Mini, which happens to be a smaller version of the Z17, and in a tamer form.

The Nubia Z17 Mini is meticulously designed just like its larger sibling, with a metal unibody build and a textured finish. The phone has a 5.2-inch Full HD display on the front protected by Gorilla Glass. Underneath the hood lies a mid range processor instead of a high end one – a Snapdragon 652 chipset. Alongside that are 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

The smaller phone still has a dual camera setup on the back, with an attractive accented red rim around it. The dual cam configuration consists of two 13MP Sony sensor – one is an RGB sensor and the other a MONO sensor. This package will translate to better low light photos and heavier bokeh shots. Nubia did not go light on the front facing camera as well, featuring a 16MP Sony sensor. The battery packed by the Z17 Mini matches its overall specs, with a capacity of 2,950mAh.

The Nubia Z17 Mini will only be available in India for the time being, exclusively via Amazon India. The phone carries a price tag of INR 19,999 (RM1,325.96) which makes it a good buy.
