Nothing is set to launch the Phone (2) smartphone in Malaysia on 14 July, as the company has recently got MKBHD to show off the new Glyph Interface of its second smartphone, the Phone (2) is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and features a slight design change from its predecessor.
Nothing’s smartphone have been widely commended for its semi transparent case and unique Glyph interface, which is a row of LED strips that lights up when the phone receives a notification and syncs with the phone’s preloaded ringtones, it can even serve as a video recording light.
The Phone (2) now features a different light strip arrangement where instead of a G-shaped strip arrangement, it is now split into six parts on the center where each of them will light up individually, which allows a fancier light show than the previous design.
Nothing has also previously teased that it has been working with Swedish Mafia House on the Glyph interface composer and ringtone, so we can expect a whole lot of different ringtones on the Phone (2) this round.
The Phone (2) will make its global debut on 12 July, which isn’t too long from now and Nothing seems to have prioritized Malaysia as one of its key market, it will also be the first phone that the company will start selling in US markets, while at the same time, Yes will be the exclusive telco partner for the Phone (2), so expect some great deals to happen when you sign up to the telco’s Infinite Postpaid plan.
