Nothing Ear (1) is a brand-new product from the similarly new brand Nothing by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei – the product has officially been revealed on Nothing’s Malaysian website.

From the get-go, the Ear (1) boasts a unique design where the body and stem are translucent, while on the back are the bandings along the vents. The earbuds use silicone ear tips.
Each earbud packs an 11.6mm driver which Nothing claims can offer “advanced bass, mid, and treble performances”; then there are three high definition microphones for clearer calls; with the help of software, the device can drown out winds of up to 40km/h speeds.
Speaking of drowning out sound, the Ear (1) also comes with ANC – there are two modes for you to choose from, Light and Maximum.
The earbuds offer up to 4 hours of listening time if you have ANC on, or up to 5.7 if you have it off. The charging case can give the earbuds 1.2 hours of listening time with a short 10-minute charge. In total, you’re looking at up to 34 hours of listening time with the use of the charging case, and if you have ANC disabled.
The case also supports Qi wireless charging, which will take up to 2.5 hours to fully power, or you can opt to charge it wirelessly, which will take about 52 minutes to juice up.
As of now, the earbuds only seem to come in white, and there’s no word on whether it’ll ship with other options when it’s made available. The device is priced at USD99 (about RM418), and will be available in 45 countries this August 17. There’s no word on the local availability and pricing yet, but check back on our website for more updates.
