Many of us may be familiar with the Nokia 3310 phone that was launched in the early 2000s, but have you ever swallowed one before? Well, this 33-year-old man did – he swallowed a 3310 lookalike.
This incident happened in Pristina, Kosovo and was shared by Skender Teljaku, the lead doctor of the medical team that performed the endoscopy to remove the phone from the patient. He posted picture of the phone on Facebook after it was taken out of the patient, in addition to a few X-ray during the surgery.
The phone was in him for four days!
Luckily for the patient, there wasn’t a need to cut open his stomach —the medical team could retrieve the phone that was separated into three pieces through endoscopy. It was also revealed that the phone was stuck in the man’s stomach for four days before it was removed.
It’s not exactly the Nokia 3310
As for what he swallowed, it is suspected to be an L8STAR BM90 — a phone that resembles the Nokia 3310 but is smaller as it’s about 2.44-inches in length only. The big question still remains: Why did he do it?
