New Razer Basilisk V3 reinvents the wheel, quite literally

Razer has just launched the new Basilisk V3 wired gaming mouse, which puts a lot of emphasis on reinventing the wheel – quite literally.

This iteration now comes with a new scroll wheel that can be used in three different modes – Scroll Mode for high-precision scrolling when cycling through weapons or skills, Free-Spin Scrolling Mode which lets the wheel scroll faster with less tactile feedback, and Smart-Reel Mode which automatically switches between the two depending on the application you’re on.

If for some reason you need really fast scroll speeds, then there’s Virtual Acceleration that basically lets you do that – the feature is toggled through Razer Synapse and it allows you to scroll through lengthy documents or web pages much faster.

Elsewhere, there are 10 easy-access buttons around the mouse and one customizable profile-switch button under the mouse. Each button can be programmed to perform different actions, and the mouse can hold up to five on-board memory profiles.

The Basilisk V3 is equipped with the Razer Focus+ 26K DPI optical sensor that allows for more precise use in-game and out. When it comes to the mouse clicks, the device comes with Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-2 which allows for crisp clicks that have an actuation speed of 0.2ms.

Lastly, it wouldn’t really be a gaming device if it didn’t have fancy RGBs – here, you get 11 Razer Chroma lighting zones around the mouse and an underglow portions that adds more aesthetic flair.

The Razer Basilisk V3 is priced at RM329 and is now available at selected retail and online stores. Visit Razer’s website here to learn more.
