New Pixel 2 renders show display with rather large bezels

While bezel-less front panels are in trend, we all do know that not all companies are capable of producing smartphones of such design. One of the most notable examples is the OnePlus 5, in which OnePlus admitted that it did not possess resources enough to have a bezel-less display on its latest flagship. Previous renders of the Pixel 2 by Google show an attractive near bezel-less front, but latest leaks disprove otherwise.

Based on the image of the alleged Pixel 2 above, the display seems to be of an ordinary 16:9 aspect ratio instead of an 18:9 display seen on earlier renders. This translates to pretty huge bezels above and below the screen. Also shown in the image are the possible color options of the Pixel 2, with two new additions, brown and red.

However, earlier rumors also point to the Pixel 2 being a much more modest device while the Pixel XL 2 will display Google’s best design and engineering efforts, hence the possibilty of the larger model sporting a more attractive design and premium specs underneath the hood.

Otherwise, the Pixel 2 looks not much different when compared to its predecessor(s). The handset is said to be made by HTC and is slated for an unveiling later this year.
