New Nokia 3310 will come with 4G connectivity

Those of you that love the Nokia 3310 that the company has brought back will be happy to know that they are refreshing the phone to support 4G connectivity. Prior to this, 3G was the only option on the phone and it did not support many bands, but now they are making it to available to more people.

One of the other changes that will be making its way to the 3310 is a change in OS, prior to this, they were using FeatureOS which on its own, was very limited. Now, they are using YunOS which is able to run some apps on Android and it is based on AOSP. It won’t be a surprise if we will be seeing lite versions of Android apps on the 4G variant. Most of the users that buy the 3310, mainly have it for nostalgia sake or use it as a backup phone, with 4G connectivity, it gives the phone more value and will probably be a more solid choice as a backup phone.

There is currently no news on pricing for the phone as the listing just appeared on TENAA, but we should expect the phone will be priced slightly higher than the current model of the 3310.
