New feature by Google Photos now recognizes your pets

Picture perfect memories of your pets may be hard to come by. Pet owners can definitely identify with the frustration of taking decent photos of their favorite lovable pets. On top of that, scouring for pictures of your pets in your gallery’s sea of pictures can be quite time consuming as well. Google is rolling out a new feature to its Photos app which will change that.

The Photos app by Google definitely comes in handy especially when identifying faces of people in your photo library. One’s camera roll may be filled with selfies and group pictures after a night out. With face identification on Google Photos, it makes searching through images a much easier process. Google is currently extending pictures to pets.

If you have a pet dog for example, all you need to do is go through the Photos app and type “dog” in the search bar. Photos of dogs in your gallery will then be singled out. After singling out the images, you can also take things to the next level by naming your dog in the app. This will make it even easier for you to search for your pet dog named Lucky in your photos for future reference.

Google has rolled out yet another nifty feature which will identify animals by breed. Taking photos of your little furry ones will be even more pleasant with this new feature. What do you think of Google’s new technology for pet identification?
