New Beats Pill speaker gets USB-C and better sound

Beats, the audio company under Apple, has unveiled an all-new Pill speaker that has some decent upgrades over its predecessor, it still comes in a Pill shape design as the name already suggests, but underneath is a bigger racetrack woofer and tweeter that promises powerful, room-filling sound, while a 20-degree upward tilt ensures sound travels toward your head better than before.

Most notably, the new Beats Pill can be charged with USB-C, while the port supports reverse charging other devices and lossless audio. The speaker is IP67 water and dust resistant so you can take it out to the poolside and beach, and you can listen to music all-day with its 24-hour battery life.

Like other Beats products, the new Beats Pill supports fast pairing on Apple and Android devices, it even supports Find My device on either platforms in case you misplace it, making this a killer feature over other portable Bluetooth speakers in the market.

The new Beats Pill retails for US$149.99 (RM706) in the US and can be purchased now. At this time of writing, Apple hasn’t listed the product in its Malaysian store.
