It was only less than two weeks ago that Apple announced its new products and product refreshes at WWDC 2017, which was held at San Jose, California. WWDC 2017 saw the Cupertino giant breathe new life to its entire Macbook and iMac lineup. Apple has also refreshed its iPad series, with the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro making its debut.
The iPad Pro 10.5 sports Apple’s latest processor, which is the Apple A10X Fusion chipset. Although benchmarks don’t tell the whole story especially when you factor in Apple’s devices, Michael Louviere, a well known developer took the iPad Pro 10.5 for a spin on Geekbench, and the results were astonishing.
The iPad Pro 10.5 happened to smoke the Geekbench test, according to the screenshot provided by Louviere. It scored 3,915 for Single Core and an impressive 9,387 for Multi-Core. This means that the raw performance of the iPad Pro trumps the previous generation substantially. It has also been revealed through the Geekbench result that the iPad Pro 10.5 packs 4GB of RAM underneath the hood, similar to the original iPad Pro.
This goes to show how powerful Apple’s latest line of iPad’s can be. As mentioned before, benchmark test results aren’t as important, but given Apple’s top notch optimization with its iOS devices, this iPad Pro is surely a beast.
