Mysterious Aurora phone leaked, claimed to be Huawei Nova 3 or P11 Plus

The next device to look forward to by Huawei is the P11 series. The company’s P series was previously known for its camera capabilities, which since the P9 have been tied in with camera maker Leica. But with the improvement of the Mate series of phablets, Huawei’s potential plans for an excellent P11 seem unlikely to materialize properly.

Speaking of which, hands on images of an Aurora handset has leaked on the web, with multiple sources claiming it to be either the Huawei P11 Plus or the Huawei Nova 3. The series of images show a metal built smartphone with a dual camera setup on the back. The good news is that the phone still features a 3.5mm headphone jack.

One surprising feature to note is that the Aurora phone sports what looks like an 18:9 display on the front, but still makes space for the fingerprint sensor. Most devices with tall full screen displays have their fingerprint sensors on the rear panel. We’re guessing that this device is more likely to be the Nova 3, given that the dual rear camera setup does not have the Leica branding, neither does it feature the signature camera panel of the previous Huawei P models.

The Aurora branding on the back is probably to prevent people like us to figure it out as a Huawei device, which could also mean that the Leica branding was hidden as well. Which smartphone of Huawei do you think these images belong to? Check out the full series of images at the source link below.
