The COVID-19 vaccination is now available for all Malaysian and one way you can do it is by registering through the MySejahtera app. However, several Malaysians voiced their concerns as they needed to re-register after the recent UI update.
About a week ago, the government has started the vaccination programme in which Malaysians can register via the MySejahtera app. However, the new UI wasn’t available then, so users weren’t able to monitor their vaccine registration and the following steps after their registration.
Malaysians worry their turns will be delayed
No need to re-register, the minister says
To clarify said issue, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Khairy Jamaluddin posted on his Twitter account stating that appointments will be based on the first registration, despite users seeing a later registration date on the status page. He also reassured users that there’s no need for an app update as the new UI will be rolled out automatically.
MySejahtera will also add dependent registration feature

On a side note, the minister also confirmed that the MySejahtera dependents’ registration feature will be available on the app in two weeks’ time. It is for those who don’t own a smartphone and depend on their family member’s MySejahtera app.
