Motorola’s gamepad Moto Mod will be releasing on August 25 in US

The gamepad controller for the Moto Z phone will be going on sale in the US on August 25 with a price tag of $79.99 (RM343.56). The gamepad will come with two thumbsticks, a d-pad, four buttons, start and select button, shoulder buttons and a home button on the side. IT is also capable of giving you an extra 8 hours worth of charge thanks to the 1035mAh battery inside.

The gamepad looks similar to what we have seen in other Android gamepads and on the back there is what looks to be the Legion logo. Lenovo owns Motorola so it would make sense the parent company would get their team to work on a gaming attachment for the phone as they have already released the Legion laptops which were pretty decent mid to entry level gaming laptops.

For that price tag, it would seem like you would be better off buying a third party gamepad to dock your phone into, but that would mean that you would need to go to the Bluetooth pairing process. With this mod, all you need to do is just snap the Moto Z phones into the phone slot on the gamepad and you can start gaming instantly and you will get the assurance that it will be completely compatible with your phone.
