Motorola gears up for "Hellomoto" event at MWC 2017

The tech show fever will likely remain after CES 2017, like any other year, given the fact that MWC is just around the corner. Held in Barcelona, the Mobile World Congress 2017 is only a little over a month away, and Motorola has begun sending out invites for its own event in February.

The poster seen above does not tell much about what to expect at the event, but the date of “Hellomoto” has been set for the 26th of February. Apart from that, there is a typically Moto shaped smartphone with no outstanding features to tip us off or for us to identify and guess which new Moto handset it might be. Other than that, we see a shadow of Barcelona’s monumental Sagrada Familia Catholic church building.

Perhaps, we might be looking at an early Moto G4 successor, though that seems pretty unlikely. How about a totally new series of Moto handsets with the now trendy dual camera setup? There won’t be any Lenovo phones for sure as the company has recently announced that its future handset will only carry the Moto branding. Rumors have also been circling around regarding a new Moto 360 since the 2nd generation Moto 360 back in 2015, but that will probably see a separate launch from this February 26 event. Any thoughts on what will be launched by Motorola next month?
