Motorola drops iPhone 6s and Galaxy S7 Edge in Droid Turbo 2 ads

Although the Droid Turbo 2 may be dated in its spec sheet, the rugged handset has proved to be pretty much invincible, featuring Motorola’s ShatterShield technology. The screen of the device is guaranteed by the company that it won’t shatter for 4 years. Of course, such claims by Motorola have sparked a series of Droid Turbo 2 drop tests across the world wide web and boy did the handset impress. Famous YouTuber a.k.a. smartphone destroyer TechRax was impressed by the shatterproof screen of the device, after going through his own series of drop tests and hammering tests.

Over the weekend, Motorola has launched two new commercials of the Droid Turbo 2, comparing it to the likes of the Apple iPhone 6s and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, while promoting the Droid Turbo 2’s shatterproof display. Both the iPhone 6s and the S7 Edge were dropped in two separate video commercials. The iPhone 6s sustained significant damage after being dropped on tarred road, followed by the drop of the Droid Turbo 2, which still remained scratchless after the drop. The other video with the Galaxy S7 Edge is similar, but saw an instant shatter to the handset’s screen.

Accompanied by some animated emoji fun and a tagline which states, “Save your world with a shatterproof screen”, the Droid Turbo 2 still proves to be difficult to top when it comes to device protection. What are your thoughts on the Droid Turbo 2?
