Motorola debuts 360 camera Moto Mod

Motorola’s Moto Mods have proved to be far more successful than LG’s Friends. LG’s concept of a modular phone and its accessories was actually less practical than that of Motorola. This has shown through the continuation of Moto Mods, alongside LG’s revamping of its flagship from the flop of its G5 last year. Motorola has unveiled a new 360 camera Moto Mod which will rival Essential’s 360 camera accessory.

At a press event in Ghana, Motorola reportedly unveiled the 360 camera Moto Mod, as predicted before by popular leak source Evan Blass. Like the rest of the Moto Mods, this 360 camera Moto Mod attaches to compatible Moto handsets via the magnetic pin connectors on the phones’ rear panel. The 360 camera consists of two lenses and is positioned on top of the Moto Mod casing.

It sounds like a promising modular accessory by Motorola. Essential’s 360 camera accessory attaches via the pogo pin connector behind as well, but does not require a casing for support. Regardless, both these accessories work in similar fashion.

The 360 camera Moto Mod will likely be unveiled and made available in other regions worldwide pretty soon. Which Moto Mod is your current favorite?
