Many die-hard Microsoft Lumia fans out there are awaiting the company to break its silence for 2016. With many rumors about Lumia phones surfacing, the Lumia 650 is one of them.

The Microsoft Lumia 650 will finally be announced next month. Windows Central, who has been tailing the Lumia 650 for a couple of months now, claims that the device will most likely be the the last Lumia for 2016.

According to multiple sources, it is confirmed that Microsoft will reveal the details regarding the Lumia 650, such as availability and pricing, on February 1 through its official blog. The company is also expected to maintain a low profile at Mobile World Congress (MWC) late next month.

Unofficial specifications of the Lumia 650 have recently surfaced. The device is said to sport a 5-inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 210 or 212 processor with 1GB of RAM running Windows 10 Mobile, 8GB of internal storage with micro SD expansion, an 8MP rear facing camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera. The device is also said to come in two colors – Matte White and Matte Black.

Microsoft is rumored to be shifting its focus on the “Panos phone”, which is to be launched alongside its Surface product line, instead of the Lumia lineup, hence making the Lumia 650 likely to be the final Lumia phone this year.

As of now, Microsoft has yet to announce any plans for MWC and there is no further information on the Lumia 650, but that will most likely be clarified by Microsoft on February 1.
