Microsoft’s products did not pick up much traction here not for the lack of features and performance but rather, the pricing was not the best when comparing it to its closest competitors. It looks like that is about to change because a cheaper $400 Surface tablet has just passed through the FCC this week.
We reported about this a few weeks back that the company is planning to make more affordable Surface devices and it looks like these devices have finally come to light. The new model will be lighter than the current models and it will come with Intel processors and a full version of Windows 10. There is also plans to include LTE in the tablet alongside cheaper keyboard covers, a stylus and mouse. These new cheaper and complete devices will be great for the education field in which they are having huge competition with the new 2018 iPads and the better Chromebooks.
