Microsoft to hold a Windows 10 event on the 26th of October

We’ve heard rumours for a while now that Microsoft will be doing an event to debut their new Surface-line of products sometime in October. Well, those are no longer rumours as Microsoft has revealed that they will be doing a Windows 10 event at New York City on the 26th of October.

To be clear here, Microsoft did not implicitly reveal the details of the event apart from the saying that they will be showing off “what’s next for Windows 10.” However, an announcement of a new Surface two-in-one is very likely as the Surface Pro 4 first made its debut in October of last year. Apart from the Surface two-in-one, there is also the rumoured All-in-One version of the Surface as well. Currently codenamed Cardinal, this All-in-One will supposedly come in three different sizes.

Another device that may also make an appearance at the Microsoft event is an updated Surface Book, although some reports are saying that the Surface Book 2 will not be made available until 2017. Finally, we have the Surface Phone. Seeing as Microsoft just shuttered its smartphone division not so long ago, it is highly unlikely that the Surface Phone will be a part of the event, although we do expect Microsoft to explain if Windows 10 will still have a presence in the smartphone market.
