Microsoft Surface event is happening tonight and we’re already expecting several Surface products such as the Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3 and a Surface 2-in-1 laptop. However, there’s also a dual-screen Surface device that has been rumoured for years yet has never made an appearance.
The highly credible leaker, Evan Blass tweeted that the dual-screen Surface is not only real, but will also be powered by Windows 10X — previously known as Windows Lite. He said that Windows 10X is made for both dual and folding-screen devices and will run desktop applications in containers. Simply put, the applications that aren’t offered on Windows 10X can be run via a virtualised Windows 10 container.
We’re pretty excited for the launch of the new Surface products, but if the dual-screen Surface makes its appearance, that’ll probably be the cherry on top.
