There had been rumours of late speculating the existence of a disc-less Xbox One S that has no Blue-ray drive.

Today, Microsoft has confirmed of its existence by introducing the console which is aptly named the Xbox One S All Digital and will be priced at €229 (about RM1,065). But considering that Value Added Tax affects sale prices in Europe, Malaysia could technically get the console at a lower price than mentioned.

The console is set for a May 7 release date while pre-orders for the machine starts this month; however, it is unknown when it will hit local shelves.

You can also expect the Xbox One S All Digital to come with game bundles for titles such as Fortnite, Minecraft and more.

The console will tie into the Xbox Game Pass and xCloud game streaming services as Microsoft looks ahead towards a digital-focused future for the gaming industry.
