Working on documents on your phone has gotten better over the years – what with Microsoft’s Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps all available for free on your app store. But these programs are individual apps separated from each other – there are third-party options that offer all three in one program, like WPS Office.
But if you’re looking for something similar but still stay within Microsoft’s ecosystem – you’d be glad to know that the American company has created Microsoft Office, for mobile phones.
Like it’s PC counterpart, it clumps together all your favourite productivity programs in one app – you can of course edit and view documents on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and even convert documents to PDFs.
For quite note taking, there’s Notes – each sticky pad can be viewed from the home screen itself. From there, you’ll also see a timeline of your recent documents too. Images are also organized in the Media section on the home page for quick access.
To get a chance of trying it out before it officially launches, sign up for the Android public preview group here; unfortunately the iOS group has reached its limit of users already.
