iOS and Android users take up the majority when it comes to mobile devices, but most of us are still reliant on Microsoft’s apps and services, which the company has brought across a number of platforms for our convenience instead of us to switch over to Windows Mobile or something. We’ve seen Microsoft Office apps released for both iOS and Android platforms, and now Microsoft has brought its email service app, Outlook to your Android wearables.
With a dedicated Microsoft Outlook app for Android Wear, users don’t have grab their phone out to view emails in Outlook. Outlook for Android Wear also allows users to reply emails using preset replies. Replies can also be initiated via voice dictation. Notifications for the app can also be accessed via the notification window. With the Android Wear release of the app, users now have the option of Gmail or Outlook from the comfort of their own wrist, hence a more level playing field for Microsoft.
Outlook for Android Wear is in the midst of a rollout to Google’s Play Store so do check on it every now and then, depending on how eager you are to have Outlook emails displayed on your Android wearable. Are you a Gmail or Outlook user?
