Mi Note 2 to sport curved edge display, 6GB RAM, Android Nougat

It has been a while since we last heard about rumors regarding the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, but it seems like a generous amount of details have been leaked out this time round. The Mi Note 2 is slated to be announced some time later this year, with the possibility of the flagship making an appearance at IFA 2016 next week.

First off, the Mi Note 2 is said to sport a curved edge design, possibly adopting Samsung’s curved edge displays. Rumors tell us that the display will be 5.5-inches or 5.7-inches at QHD resolution, which will be emulating either the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge or the recently launhced Note 7. Under the hood, the Mi Note 2 is tipped to feature a Snapdragon 820, with the Snapdragon 821 being a possibility as well. For RAM, the handset will at least meet current flagship standards at 4GB. or max it out at 6GB. The same concept applies to storage, with talks of 32GB ranging up to 128GB.

According to leaked images by Android Pure, the Mi Note 2 is said to be featuring a dual camera setup on the rear end, which will be the first for Chinese OEM Xiaomi if that turns out to be true. Further leaks show a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top and a USB Type-C port at the bottom, suggested to support Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 for the phone’s rumored 3,600mAh battery. Lastly, the handset will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat.

For now, we probably have to take the above speculations with a huge grain of salt till we wait for more consistency among future leaks and rumors. Let us know your thoughts at the comments section below!
