Maxis customers to receive free 1-day data roaming when booking a hotel room via Expedia

With the school holidays in full swing, many a family may be planning for their vacation abroad. If you’re a Maxis postpaid customer who is currently in the process of booking a hotel room to stay in, you might be interested to know that Maxis has entered a partnership with Expedia that would net you a day of free data roaming if you booked your hotel rooms via Expedia.

Starting from today, Maxis customers who book their hotels via this link will be entitled to a one-day roaming pass that would allow them to roam for free, so long as the destination is within Maxis’ network coverage. The one-day roaming pass includes a MaxisONE World Pass, a pass exclusively given to MaxisONE plan customers who make a hotel booking in any ASEAN countries except for Vietnam. This pass would give Maxis customers free unlimited outgoing calls, free unlimited incoming calls, free access to local data and an additional free 500MB of high-speed data per day.

The one-day roaming pass also comes with the DataRoam Pass which is applicable to both MOP customers who make a hotel booking in countries outside of ASEAN, as well as non-MOP postpaid customers who make a hotel booking in any of the listed countries. This pass will provide customers with 500MB of high-speed data. Customers will still be able to surf or use social chat apps even after their data quota is spent.

If you’re an active Maxis postpaid customer, all you need to do is to book your hotel here and key in your Maxis number when you’re making the booking. To redeem the pass, all you’ll need to do is to simply turn on data roaming on your smartphone and use the data pass within the hotel stay period.
