MacBook Air now starts at a lower price tag of RM4499

Apple has begin taking orders for the new M4 MacBook Pro and Mac mini in Malaysia, but it has also lowered the prices of the MacBook Air, in which the M2 13-inch model now starts at RM4,499, while the M3 powered 13- and 15-inch MacBook Airs start at RM4,999 and RM5,999 respectively.

In case you are wondering, yes – Apple has removed the M2 powered 15-inch MacBook Air from the list, so you have got to shell out an extra RM1500 if you want the base model 15-inch MacBook Air, though on the bright side, the base model 13-inch M2 MacBook Air now comes with 16GB RAM all thanks to Apple Intelligence.

This isn’t the first time Apple has reduced prices of their products this year, as it has done similarly with the iPad lineup last month, which can be attributed to the stronger Malaysian Ringgit at that time. However, this could also be a sign of clearing stocks as we are months away from the annual refresh of the MacBook Air with M4 chips, but nonetheless, this is great news for those who have always wanted to own a brand new MacBook Air at a lower price.
