The LG Velvet is now confirmed to be launching in South Korea this month before it reaches other regions like Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia.
Processor and Storage
The LG Velvet is LG’s latest smartphone with 5G connectivity. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 chipset and supports 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. However, you can expand the memory up to 2TB with a microSD.
Display
Display-wise, the LG Velvet sports a 6.8-inch P-OLED display and is paired with stereo speakers and LG 3D Sound Engine for an immersive audio experience. It still comes with a conventional notch that houses a 16MP lens, but its side bezels are almost non-existent.
Camera
On the back, this phone comes with a 48MP triple camera setup which consists of the main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and another 5MP depth sensor. LG referred the camera setup as a “Raindrop” camera as the lenses are arranged vertically in descending order of size to mimic falling raindrops.
Other Features
The LG Velvet also has a 4,300mAh battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+. Similar to many flagship phones, this device also comes with an IP68 rating. The LG Velvet will be available in Illusion Sunset, Aurora White, Aurora Gray and Aurora Green, but it will vary by market.
