LG V30 and G7 may see early launches

When LG launched the G6, it was a few weeks earlier than Samsung’s eventual release of the Galaxy S8 series. Unsurprisingly, Samsung did not require any catch up time based on how popular its 2017 flagship lineup is as of today. South Korean news outlet The Investor has reported that the LG V30 and LG G7 will launch earlier than expected.

There isn’t much talk about the LG V30, but The Investor reports that the upcoming “dual display” smartphone will launch one month earlier than the typical LG V series refresh schedule. This means that instead of September, when we saw the LG V20 launch, the LG V30 will make its debut in August instead.

The LG G7 on the other hand, has been predicted to launch earlier as well. According to The Investor, the 2018 flagship will be looking at a January appearance next year. This means that the LG G7 could debut at CES 2018 at Vegas instead of MWC 2018 at Barcelona.

Regardless, we hope to see a more current processor underneath the hood of the LG G7 when it launches next year. The LG G6, launched approximately 3 months ago sports a Snapdragon 821 processor which was seen in flagships late last year. Let’s pray that it won’t be the case for the LG G7.
